Next stop............Rollinsford? (Round' Town)

With such a handsome looking engine heading in the direction of our fair village, it seems a shame that she doesn't stop through here. What does Dover have that we don't? Parking? So what. More people? More doesn't always mean better. Multiple public transportation options? Okay, you've got us.

In Rollinsford, the primary means of transport is on foot. There are a host of options here. Look around at all the kinds of footwear on display at the Black Bean Cafe around lunchtime, and you will see that we have OPTIONS. We also have artisans. While many of them live in other towns, the art is created here.

Portsmouth, NH, while a fine town in its own right, has lost a little ground to the arts. Sure, Portsmouth still has all the fancy shops where art is hung, a nice park and a host of theater companies, but many of the artisans who formerly graced the Button Factory, are now dripping paint on the floors of Salmon Falls Mills. So we have painters..........and woodworkers, glass builders, potters, bookbinders, photographers, scribblers, performance artists, dabblers, beer drinkers. Mills full of Mill Artists.

There is a lot to experience within 7.5 square miles bounded by river and pasture. Read on. Well, next time.....................
